Play Group

Age: 2 to 2.5 yrs.

Syllabus:

The syllabus for Play Group is carefully designed with the prime motive of helping the kids enjoy their schooling. Strategically planned activities will help the child to work on their pincer grasp, hand, and eye coordination, and fine and gross motor skills.

The syllabus for Play Group is 100% practical and includes activities like:

Colouring
Tracing
Connecting dots
Sensory play
Role play.

Key developments after Play Group:

Problem solving skills.
Exercised cognitive skills.
Exercised pincer grasp.
Understanding their emotions.
Learning to express their needs.

Dependency level = Fully dependent.

Age: 3 to 3.5 yrs.

Syllabus:

3 years to 4 years is when most of the child's likes and dislikes

develops. This is when the children start learning to empathize.

The syllabus for the nursery (or) Pre-KG is designed in a way that the child will not only be able to recognize and trace the upper case alphabets and numbers from 1 to 10 but also develop a strong attraction towards learning new concepts. The kids are engaged in activities like squeezing, pouring, stacking, and segregating and are involved in group story-building activities on a daily basis.

In Pre-KG, the primary focus is to teach the children to socialize with their classmates and teachers comfortably.

Nursery

Key developments after Pre KG:

Identifying uppercase alphabets.
Identifying their body parts.
Completely potty trained.
Comfortably expressing emotions.
Improved vocabulary.
Well developed pincer grasp.

Dependency level = Semi dependent.

LKG (Lower KinderGarten)

Age: 3.5 to 4.5 yrs.

Syllabus:

3.5 years is the perfect age to start writing independently. At this age, a well practiced child will no longer need tracing sheets to practice writing.

The syllabus for LKG is precisely designed in a way that the children will have utmost fun and feel zero pressure of being introduced to wide variety of concepts for the first time in their lives!

Kids will be introduced to 10 interesting fun filled themes and will be exposed to over 12 field trips through out the year.

In LKG, the children will learn:

Upper and lower case alphabets, phonics
Tamil vowels, and consonants.
Numbers from 1 to 50, Number names from one to thirty.
Digraphs and trigraphs.

Key developments after LKG:

Reading and writing both case alphabets.
Well developed socialization.
Comfortably reading 2 & 3 letter words using phonics sounds.
Enhanced problem solving skills.
Comfortably communicating their needs.

UKG (Upper KinderGarten)

Age: 4.5 to 5.5 yrs.

Syllabus:

This is the age where the transition from a preschool to a proper school

begins. Kids are taught and trained in a way to ensure that the transition is as smooth as possible.

Kids will be exposed to "watch and write" practice where they will begin to see from the board and copy it in their note. The syllabus is tailored in a way to ensure every child gets admitted into any board of K-12 school after their schooling with Right Step. And the teaching methodologies are designed in a way to ensure that this exposure is given with absolutely zero pressure on the kids!

The kids will be exposed to various roleplays, field trips, public speaking activities and group discussions through out their travel in UKG.

In UKG, the children will learn:

upto 5 letter words in English
Upto 3 letter words in Tamil
Numbers and number names from 1 to 100
Understand vowels, consonants, prepositions, opposites, and mathematical concepts like long, short, big, small, before - after - in-between numbers.
